Health and Sport Technologies, a Dundalkbased company, has developed a system which allows an athlete/player to collect and collate key information across four different areas: psychological, physical, technical and emotional, encompassing health indicators, training, tests, competitions, injury and rehabilitation and nutrition. These in turn are integrated with goal setting to provide a platform for the athlete/player to develop and strive to become the best that they can be. Coaches and staff can access athlete information, plan training and competitions and provide feedback and motivation. Medical staff and physios can track injury and rehabilitation. The system is based on a modularised platform and includes a communication function to allow coaches and staff to upload video clips, review performances and communicate at a group and individual level. In-depth statistical analysis can be applied against high-quality historical data and the potential to predict outcomes and peak performances can be greatly enhanced using the system.
