The portal www.meble.pl, the medium which facilitates the optimal use of the Internet in order to establish business and cooperation contacts for the furniture industry, and which constitutes a source of specialist knowledge. The furniture industry constitutes of one the most important sectors of the Polish economy. It has a long tradition in our country, and it has adjusted to market conditions much faster than other industries. After 1998, in a relatively short period of time many furniture companies have taken large-scale restructuring actions, implemented new management methods, introduced new techniques and technologies, directed their attention on the increase in effectiveness, quality, and rationality. This, among other factors, caused the increase of the private sector’s share in furniture production in Poland, which currently exceeds 90%, 80% of which enter the markets of the European Union. The furniture industry became the leader of the Polish export and our furniture reached the top position in the ranking of export goods.
