Driven by a desire to inspire people to live more fulfilling lives, Jay and Tom founded Lumenate in 2019. Through a series of rounds of customer research the pair focused their efforts on trying to make impactful subconscious exploration experiences more accessible than ever. From here, the team bought an EEG brain scanner and embarked on months of research identifying and optimising the ways to effortlessly guide people into powerful altered states of consciousness. The result, the Lumenate App, uses stroboscopic light from the phone's flash to guide users into a deeply meditative, semi-psychedelic state. This is then combined with theory from the world of psychedelic therapy (delivered under guidance of leading researchers) to transform this from an interesting experience into a powerful platform for personal growth and self-discovery.
