When Bill Johnston met John Carmichael in 1936 they turned a possible partnership into, what is now, the largest independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Scotland. From their beginnings in Moray to Scotland’s major cities, the business has grown to include offices across 11 locations throughout Scotland, including membership of the global accounting network, PKF International Ltd. They now have over 600 staff and Partners and are now one of the top 20 accountancy firms in the UK. And with so many sharp minds on board, they’ve picked up some of the highest accolades in their industry, including Accountancy Firm of the Year at both the Scottish and British Accountancy Awards.
