Jata Motor company profile

Jata was founded by a group of entrepreneurs who all have valuable experience in the transportation, fleet management and automotive industries both in Africa and Europe. They conceived the idea of starting an electric vehicle (EV) business upon getting fed up with the complexities involved in running fossil-fuel vehicles. Fossil-fuel vehicles are powered by petrol and diesel, which is very expensive and worse off, environmentally damaging. It is very demanding to maintain fossil-fuel vehicles. These entrepreneurs then started to look into how electric vehicles, which run on electric-powered battery and are 70% cheaper to maintain, can be adopted in Africa, with a focus on Ghana at the start. That’s how Jata was born. To empower every eligible African to own an EV, Jata works in partnership with different industry players to design and sell affordable EVs.
