HELIOVIS, an engineering and development company, offers an innovative technology to generate clean Solar Heat for Industrial Purposes (SHIP) in a temperature range from 90°C to 550°C. The technology allows cost advantages of -55% (CAPEX) and -20% OPEX compared to modern glass mirror systems. The technology has reached TRL 7 and has been demonstrated with a full-size industrial application in Spain since 2017. The company is looking for a strong and entrepreneurial partner for scale up and international roll out. The HELIOtube® is an innovative solar collector for Solar Thermal Power (STP). It is an inflatable tube-shaped structure made of three highly durable, industry proven plastic films with a length of 220 m, an aperture of 7.8 m and a thermal power of 0.9 MWpth. It works in the same way as a parabolic trough by concentrating sunlight on a linear thermal receiver. The collector provides clean thermal energy (industrial heat) in a temperature range of 90°C to over 550°C for up to 24 hours per day. With its highly competitive and stable price levels, it is perfectly suited for e.g. emission-free water desalination and many other industrial processes normally powered by fossil fuels and economically unattractive for solar competitors. The technology is protected by an extensive IP portfolio (12 patent families, 65 patents, and 2 trademarks), all in the entire and unrestricted ownership of the company.
