Heart Combustion Engine is an Italian deep-tech startup developing a patented internal combustion engine designed for the clean mobility transition. Our technology introduces a novel thermodynamic cycle and engine architecture that significantly enhances efficiency, reduces fuel consumption and emissions, and enables the use of carbon-neutral synthetic fuels. Unlike conventional Otto and Diesel engines, our solution leverages 360° combustion cycle and over expansion to achieve higher thermal efficiency, increased torque density, and lower environmental impact — while maintaining the high energy density and scalability of liquid fuels. Heart Combustion Engine is collaborating with partners in the automotive and energy sectors to bring this next-generation propulsion system to high-performance vehicles and generators. We were selected as a semifinalist at the GAMIC 2024 global mobility competition and are engaged in early-stage prototyping and validation with industry stakeholders.
