Grindstone Gifts started with an anxious Dad who was eager to motivate his daughter while she was doing her leaving certificate exam. The Planner was invented as a way for her to record what she had studied. While she tracked her progress her parents could add in bits of encouragement along the way. Grindstone Gifts was part of the design team that created The Planner and shared in the joy with the family over the good results. This euphoria spawned the feeling that this simple, positive planner could and should be shared. The Planner was redesigned to add in motivational quotes already on the planner, and adding important dates to the exam time table as well as study pointers and tips. By the time this was done, the whole of the student process came under the microscope ofthe Grindstone Gifts Team. Grindstone Gifts is passionate that planning is a big part of the success of student life, failing to prepare is to prepare to fail as the saying goes- however, planning on paper is not the only way to prepare. Bodies need to be well minded inside and out.
