Greenmatch company profile

Greenmatch was founded in July 2013 in Binningen, Switzerland. The founding team combines extensive experience in the areas of banking and consulting with a strong focus on investments in renewable energies. In the years between 2010 and 2013 they managed investment vehicles for an infrastructure fund backed by institutional investors and, subsequently, for a large Swiss utility company and invested more than 500 million Euros in renewable energy projects throughout Europe. The sheer number of individual projects that had to be assessed and compared during this intensive investment phase increasingly overcharged conventional spreadsheet applications. Due to this experience, the founders identified the need for a more efficient, comprehensible and reliable solution to support the investment process throughout the entire lifecycle of a project. All this investment processing and execution know-how was incorporated in greenmatch. Abalis Finance AG, an independent Swiss Holding Company was convinced to participate as a founding partner and sponsor of the development and early growth phase of the greenmatch venture.
