Gelesis is a clinical stage biotechnology company developing first-in-class therapeutics to safely treat obese, overweight, and diabetic patients. Gelesis100, our lead product, is an orally- administered smart pill which is constructed of materials that are General Recognized as Safe (GRAS) by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Each Gelesis100 capsule contains thousands of hydrogel particles approximately the size of a grain of salt that expand to 100 times their dry weight.
