EvelynElaine is an educational program designed to prove standardized training for community caregivers is a valuable intervention. The series provides comprehensive training on various aspects of caregiving, including legal, medical, and financial responsibilities. Participants receive detailed handouts, hands-on training, and competencies that develop holistic management of their loved one’s care. Caregivers take part in five, 90-minute interactive courses to improve competency and technique. The courses are taught concurrently, led by a trained facilitator with pre and post-testing for efficacy and improvement. Additionally, the program addresses the psychological and emotional challenges faced by caregivers, offering strategies to manage stress and effective advocacy while supporting confidence. By equipping caregivers with this knowledge and support, the Caregiver Bootcamp aims to improve the quality of life for the caregivers while improving outcomes for their loved ones. This grant will support the expansion and enhancement of the program, enabling more caregivers to benefit from this vital training. Funding requested will be used for extending the reach of the program to community caregivers, targeting community caregivers who are affected by Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementia diagnoses.
