Cardoona is a technology-based food processing company that monitors and tracks price lists from restaurants’ vendors. It alerts restaurant managers when prices change on any of the items that are being used in their restaurants, and managers can also log in to view trends on items to help make better purchasing decisions. Restaurants are required to connect with Cardoona by partnering with it, and restaurants need to communicate their vendors to send prices to a new email address created for them by the company. Vendors are provided with two options to communicate prices, either via email or by system-integration with the system of Cardoona, and the vendors do not have to be obliged to any specific format when they send over the price lists to Cardoona, and therefore they would only have to forward a copy of their existing price lists, and the price lists are automatically gathered, organized, and analyzed as they come in. The company ensures that it does not get in the way of the relationship between the restaurant and its vendors. The company was founded in July 2012, and is based in Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.
