Cailabs is a global leader in free-space optical communications. Its dual-use Optical Ground Stations (OGS) are deployed worldwide by leading satellite operators and agencies such as SES, ESA and Contec. The company is among the very few globally to have demonstrated satellite-to-ground links fully compliant with the US Space Development Agency (SDA) standard, confirming its unique technological position. It also plays a central role in European sovereignty/defense programs such as Keraunos, developing secure OGS for next-generation optical satellite links. Founded in 2013, Cailabs has raised over €100M and grown to 170 employees (as of Dec 2025). Cailabs has a global presence with 3 offices : its HQ based in Rennes (Brittany, France), 1 office in Paris (France) and 1 office in Washington DC (Arlington, VA).
